Hamdan bin Mubarak congratulates successful 12th grade students and calls on them to continue achievement and state-building

His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on Wednesday 2/7/2014, congratulated the successful and distinguished 12th grade students and their parents on their scientific achievements, and he also congratulated the Emirati people for this new batch that will contribute in building the State and society with all its sectors.

His Excellency said that this success is the first harvest of the fruits planted by the wise leadership, headed by his Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, and his Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who have wise vision to support the educational process, and who believe that investment in the education sector is the best and the most effective, in order to build a future based on knowledge and innovation. His Excellency added that this success is worth giving care, and attention from all concerned parties in the State, expressing his confidence in those students who will be an example of distinguished performance and responsibility, armed with knowledge and science to serve their country and community.

His Excellency thanked the faculty members for their constant and outstanding efforts in serving the academic and scientific process. He also thanked the parents who worked hard and persevered in order to create the appropriate atmosphere for their children.

His Excellency directed the 12th grade students and their parents, during filling out the online application form for admission to governmental higher education institutions, to carefully choose the disciplines they intend to study, which commensurate with their capabilities and aspirations, taking into account the labor market needs in the UAE and the sustainable development requirements.

His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Minister of Education, announced on Tuesday, July 1st , the names and results of the top high school students in the scientific and  literary sections,  and all students at the State’s level for all types of public and private education, which teaches the Ministry’s curriculum, and adult education and home study at the State level for the academic year 2013/2014, to which more than 37000 students applied, where the success rate in the literary section reached 67.8%, and in the scientific section 89.4%, while the list of top students included 33 male and female students. The Emirati student Mariam Ali Maslahi achieved first position in the literary section, with an average of 99.92%, while the student Ahmed Al Sayed Abdul Razzak Metwally Shahin from Egypt achieved the first position in the science section with an average of 99.85%.
