His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan valued the initiative of his Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who has recently met the top and distinguished students at the academic, military, and police colleges and universities and high school students in the State in his palace in Za’abeel, in the presence of his Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. His Excellency expressed his pride in the wise leadership headed by his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of UAE, and his brothers their Highnesses the rulers of the Emirates, and in their efforts in the development and service of education, and UAE students, especially the excellent ones, who receive support that promotes the status of education, and serves the State’s agenda that aims to develop education, and that ensures the interest of the UAE in science and its mission, which it is a motivator to all students to continue walking on the road of excellence.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, emphasized the importance of focusing on quality in education, and the need to ensure that it is on a high-quality level and compatible with international standards, in order to provide outputs to meet the needs and requirements of the development plans in the State, pointing out that all the successes that have been achieved as a result of making education a priority for UAE are mainly attributed to the efforts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who has invested in the right place, and everyone in the UAE today is benefitting from it. The UAE has spared no effort to raise the level of education and its quality, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in light of this interest, is working hard to develop it, with the constant support of the wise leadership, believing that the Emirati who is armed with science and knowledge will be the example of outstanding performance and responsibility, and in service to his country and community, so the Ministry is working to provide the ideal environment to attract students who have completed their secondary education, and provide them with rewarding job opportunities in the future, which will in the end be in the interest of the UAE society and benefit people of the UAE, and contribute to overcome the challenges posed by the rapid changes taking place in the world.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum pointed out during the meeting, in which he received congratulations on the holy month from the honored students, that we in the UAE have entered the global competitiveness in various areas, and we have won and surpassed other great and prestigious countries, and this, indeed, was achieved by the efforts of the country’s youth and its national cadres, and by the wise leadership that directs, follows up, and supports all national efforts in all sectors.
