The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, approved on Wednesday August 6th 2014, the names of scholarship students to study several disciplines and degrees at the expense of the Ministry for the academic year 2014-2015.
His excellency confirmed that those students will be sent to study the disciplines which the qualitative studies carried out by the Ministry, as well as by the relevant federal authorities agreed on the importance and need for the labor market in the coming years, particularly with the developments in the infrastructure of the UAE and its direction for building a green, knowledge-based economy which requires the preparation of cadres capable of covering gaps that can occur in the different sectors.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is holding an introductory forum for these students, in the presence of each country’s Cultural Attaché, the Embassy of the country of scholarship in the State, students and their parents and the media, the forum includes the academic, administrative and legal sides, to get acquainted with the scholarship system, the follow-up mechanism in the country of study, and to familiarize them with all services rendered to them, and the scholarship system and laws of the country, as well as study and University systems, and the social aspects of interest to the new student and helps them adapt in the country of study.
Monday and Thursday (4th) and (5th) of August were allocated to guide special need persons at the Ministry’s theater in Abu Dhabi. The guidance of United States students will be on Thursday August (12th), while Wednesday, August (13th) is allocated to guide students in the United Kingdom at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi’s theater.
