His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, launched an initiative to contribute to the qualification and training of national cadres for the labor market in the State. His Excellency said that this initiative comes in line with the directives of the leaders to achieve the requirements of Emiratization, with His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the State, in the forefront, who believes that work is the true criterion of citizenship and a proof of sincerity and loyalty that distinguishes people from each other, and that everyone shares the responsibility of building this country in furtherance of its sovereignty, to safeguard its gains, and to build its future through strong will, high capacity, and outstanding achievement. The Minister explained that the idea of the initiative also came out of the leadership role of the Ministry in building a well-established infrastructure for the labor market in the State, and not limiting its role to the higher education and scientific research, as it is also involved in training.
Dr. Saeed Hamad Al Hassani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, clarified that the training course, which the national cadres will undertake, is for three months, during which the cadres will be trained on the current and future skills required in the labor market in different disciplines, with focus on the management disciplines and information technology, and the Ministry has required that applicants should have a higher diploma degree or a Bachelor’s degree as a minimum, and they will be given a financial reward for the period of training, and an experience certificate at the end of the training session, stressing his delight that this training will prepare the trainees to engage in the labor market directly.
