His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of UAE University, said that the University is committed to promoting its educational services to the level of international standards.
He added that the University is complied with the requirements of institutional accreditation, which is consistent with its strategic objectives aimed at ensuring the provision of all administrative services in accordance with the quality, efficiency, and transparency standards, and strengthening its capacities in areas of national priority taking place in the State.
The remarks of His Excellency came on the occasion of receiving two certificates from International Organization for Standardization / ISO /in his office at the university. The first one is concerned with Information Technology Service Management /ISTM 20000/, while the second one is related to Information Security Management Systems / ISMS 27001 /.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahayan personally received the two certificates from Mr. Ayman Ktaily, Business Development Manager of Lloyds’ Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA), part of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The certificates were presented in the presence of Professor Mohamed Albaili, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Ms. Afra Al Shamsi, Chief Information Officer. The ceremony took place in the Chancellor’s office located in the UAEU crescent building.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak, said that receiving these certificates in the dynamic IT industry comes under the support and attention of the UAE leadership for the institutions of higher education in general and UAE University, in particular, with relation to leadership and excellence in higher education and scientific research at the regional and global levels.
