Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, the wife of King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, opened the 5th Abu Dhabi Media Summit, which discusses the leadership of the media future in the region and the world, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth, and Community Development, and His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to more than 500 leaders of the media industry from around the world.
During her opening speech, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah highlighted the urgent need for the Arab world to make use of and utilize the technological revolution, social media networks, and media channels available, through which we can tell the story the Arab world that reflects its values associated with its legacies and the essence of Islam, the religion of tolerance and compassion.
