Hamdan Bin Mubarak is sponsoring a global conference for medical students in the GCC countries

Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of the UAE University, the events of the 9th International GCC Conference for Medical Students will be launched on Friday, December 26th, 2014 at the UAE University in Al Ain, which will continue for five days with the participation of more than 1,000 students from various faculties of medicine in the GCC countries.

It was announced during a press conference held on Monday (22nd) December on campus in the presence of his Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Sulaiman Al Hammadi Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Dr. Mohammed Al Kaabi, President of the Organizing Committee of the Conference and a number of journalists.

His Excellency the Vice Chancellor that this Conference opens horizons to students for doing pioneering work in the medical field through their contributions, first as students in studies and research, and secondly in their interaction with distinguished models in the medical field.

Dr. Mohammed Al Kaabi said that the main objective of the Conference is to highlight research papers of students to participate in research cooperation in the future at the Gulf level.

He noted that this session will host more than 1000 students from medical schools from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to Sudan, Yemen, Canada, America, Britain and Poland. Conference activities include a scientific exhibition as well as organization of about 18 workshops in various medical fields; the Conference will also host 3 keynote speakers in different disciplines.

Al Kaabi said that the Conference did not neglect the entertainment side, where students are provided with an entertainment program in which some trips to various attractions in the State were organized.
