Hamdan bin Mubarak patronizes UAE Graduate Student Research Conference on March 22nd

Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Khalifa University and Abu Dhabi Education Council organize the UAE Graduate Student Research Conference 2015, during the period from the 22nd to 24th of March, at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The multidisciplinary Conference allows Master’s and Doctoral students from around the UAE and the world to highlight their research efforts and collaborate with their peers and pioneers of the various academic and industrial sectors, through four key areas; arts in social sciences, health in clinical and pre-clinical sciences, life sciences, engineering, and physical sciences. The Conference will discuss research papers in a variety of areas, such as; cultural studies, family and education, diabetes, heart disease, blood vessels, nutrition and health, biochemistry, biotechnology, micro systems, nanotechnology, and nuclear engineering, in addition to many other disciplines, and the best research will be granted awards for innovation and creativity.
The Conference provides opportunities for graduate students to listen to the views of experienced people, and communicate with representatives from various government and private sectors and academia, in order to learn about the available options, various research and academic institutions, and funding and grants opportunities. Internationally renowned speakers on the subject of robots will participate in the Conference, including Professor Paolo Dario from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in Italy, His Excellency Mr. Humaid Al Shammari, Executive Director of “Mubadala” Aerospace, who will talk about career opportunities for graduate students, Dr. Alison Burdett of “Toumaz Group”, who will discuss the ultra-low-power semiconductor for wireless communication to monitor patients, and Professor Eugenio Oñate from the Technical University of Catalonia, who will speak about the current and future trends in numerical methods for engineering.
