His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, called the Ministry’s staff to continue to work hard and make sure to deliver the services to the customers as quickly as possible and in the best way possible, and he urged them to adorn this holy month of Ramadan with dedication, mastery of work, and distinguished customer service, pointing out that the recent achievement of the Ministry, the electronic and smart transformation of priority services provided for individuals and the business sector by 100%, is the fruit of their efforts, and one of the steps of the innovation and creativity ladder which the Ministry is seeking to elevate in the provision of services to its customers, in order to contribute to the achievement of UAE Agenda to become one of the best countries in the world by 2021. This came on the occasion of the UN Public Service Day, which falls on June 23rd every year, and this year’s theme is “innovation in the delivery of public services for the implementation of development agenda post 2015”. Celebrating this World Day aims to highlight the value and benefits of providing public services to the community and its contribution to the development process, appreciate the work of staff in the public sector, and encourage the youth to engage in the occupations of this sector. His Excellency also praised the results of Fragile States Index for 2015, in which the UAE is one of the stable countries, pointing out that this Index depends on several factors in measurement and classification, including the public service factor. He also stressed on sustaining the targets of innovation, and creativity to achieve the well-being of UAE citizens and residents, which is what the leadership wishes for them, recalling the virtues of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, his love of work, and his constant quest to serve his people and provide all means of comfort and decent life to them, which is the path followed by his good successors, led by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and his Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and their fellow Rulers of the Emirates.
