President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received here today afternoon at Mushrif Palace President of the Republic of South Africa, Jacob Zuma in the presence of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Upon his arrival President Zuma was given a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour. The national anthem of the Republic of South Africa was played on the occasion.
President of South Africa then headed to the union hall where he shook hands with H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler`s Representative in the Eastern Region, H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, H.H. Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, H.H. Sheikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member, Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Mohammed Al Nahyan , Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), Ahmed Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs in addition to a number of Sheikhs, ministries and senior officials.
Sheikh Khalifa greeted members of the high profile delegation accompanying the South African President including Minister of Foreign Trade, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Lindiwe Sisulu, Minister of Tourism, Marthinus Van Schalkwyk, Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr. Rob Davies, Minister of Economic Development, Ebrahim Patel, and Yacoob Abba Omar, South African Ambassador to the UAE and a number of senior officials.
President Zuma is accompanied by mission of honour headed by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi
