The UAE pursues a wise and purposeful strategy aimed at leading the nation into successful achievements in all areas, with the grace of God as well as the care and support from the country’s leadership, stressed Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works.
Inaugurating the second edition of the Border Control, Airport ‘&’ Seaport Security Conference – BCASS in Abu Dhabi today, Sheikh Hamdan, who is also the Chairman of Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaport and Airport Security, said that the UAE has become one the region’s most attractive place for investment and economic and tourism projects.
UAE is today a model for free trade as it has modernised the means of transportation, thus facilitating movement of passengers, goods and commodities by land, sea and air; noted Sheikh Hamdan. The seaports and airports spread across the country play a major role in the progress of the nation, which reflects the world’s confidence in the UAE’s economy as the one ranking among the leading economies in the world; he added.
In the inaugural speech, which was delivered by the chairman of the sub-committee for ports security Dr. Ahmed Bin Thani Al Hamili, on behalf of him, Sheikh Hamdan also said that UAE adopted the vision of its prudent leadership that is based on the development of security on all levels and bolstering of cooperation with the world countries.
The conference is co-organized by the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security and the Institute for Near East ‘&’ Gulf Military Analysis (INEGMA).
