The Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security organised recently a ceremony for the graduation of 18 cadets, including four women, who completed a five-day basic training programme in ports security.
The cadets, all from the RAK Airport Police, recived certificates at the ceremony which was attended by Executive Director of the Civil Seaports and Airports Security Sultan Bin Yaqub Al Zaabi and senior police officers at the General Command of RAK Police.
Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Issa Hassan Taher expressed gratitude to Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security, for the care and attention he gives the committee enabling it to ensure security for the ports in the country in general and for RAK ports in particular.
Sultan Bin Yaqub Al Zaabi said that the Committee works as per direct guidelines and continuous follow up from Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan for developing the security performance of airports and seaports so that they can meet the national and international security requirements.
