Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, endorsed today the names of 450 citizens entitled for housing assistance for the current year.
The housing aid ranges from loans to grants in all emirates.
The approved housing aid was distributed as loans among those whose salaries exceed Dhs10, 000, and who have the ability to pay the loans; they account for 40 percent of the total housing assistance, while the financial grants were distributed among those whose salaries are less than Dhs10, 000; they constitute 60 percent.
The administration of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme stressed that Sheikh Hamdan ordered the announcement of the names of beneficiaries of housing aid monthly in line with the specified lists for all the emirates to ease pressure on the partners of programme.
It will send the sms messages to the beneficiaries to inform them about the final approval. The beneficiaries can visit the website of the programme to acquaint with the special procedures and information regarding the opening of the file and conditions, and time limit regarding benefiting from the aid decision.
The programme will hold a gathering for the beneficiaries to introduce the procedures and special instructions regarding the housing aid, special reduction offers and free modern residence models (28 models).
Earlier the programme had launched a number of initiatives on the reduction of housing construction costs, among others, the signing of partnership agreement with a number of building materials companies to offer low prices to the beneficiaries. About 40 companies offered 45 per cent reductions of basic value at the markets.
