ABU DHABI: Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security, the second edition of the Border Control & Airport & Seaport Security Conference BCASS will be held on 2 November at the Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi.
The one-day conference was announced at a press briefing by organizers and the Committee’s senior officials.
The conference is co-organized by the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airports Security and the Institute for Near East & Gulf Military Analysis (INEGMA).
Under the continued patronage and support of the Higher Committee for UAE Civil Seaports and Airport Security, BCASS 2011 will draw on international senior military officers, high-level government officials, and security experts to discuss the region’s critical strategic and operational border control and security issues. A diverse range of presentations and workshops and an industry exposition will offer comprehensive coverage of the latest trends, issues and technology areas relevant to border security.
BCASS 2011 is set to bring together a crowd of political and military leaders, diplomats, and industry leaders from the UAE, the GCC and Asia for two days of focused discussion and networking sessions.
The meeting will see high level of discussions and will provide vast networking opportunities for anyone within the border security and control industry.
Speakers featured on this year’s BCASS speaker panel include UAE’s Foreign Trade Minister Sheikha Lubna Al Qassimi, Minister of transport and public works Ghazi Al Aridi and others from the U.S and Australia as well as Abu Dhabi Airport Company.
Discussions will include: The role of seaports and airports in the promotion of foreign trade for the UAE , Safeguarding GCC borders through collaborative security strategies , and The combined public/private approach to transport security early warning and protection of off-shore facilities.
