Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Chairman of National Media Council (NMC) will inaugurate on Monday the Media and National Identity Forum at Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR).
A number of writers, media-persons from the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States will attend the event.
The forum is organised by NMC in cooperation with Journalists’ Association as part of the UAE celebration for the 40th national day anniversary.
Sheikh Hamdan said the forum, which is a joint initiative, aims at focusing attention on the role of media in boosting the national identity at a time the UAE is preparing to mark the 40th national day anniversary.
The gathering will host 19 speakers representing the UAE media to present their professional experiences on how media interact and tackle the national identity.
Five media-persons and researchers from the GCC countries will talk about their experiences on boosting the national identity at the globalisation era.
Sheikh Hamdan will deliver the inaugural speech and will be followed by a word from Dr Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the (ECSSR)
