The Ministerial Council for Services, has approved the federal staff performance management system proposed by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.
This was endorsed in the Council’s meeting held here today at the Presidential Palace and chaired by H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The move aims to streamline the scientific methods in the evaluation of staff performance and reconciliation of the individual staff purposes with those of the federal agency, as well as develop capacities and productivity. The system includes the specified standards of measurement to gauge and assess the performance of staff and establish those who deserve periodic allowances and promotion. There are also procedures to contest the evaluation results by the staff.
The Council also approved the training and development system for the federal staff proposed by the Authority.
It also discussed the annual reports of the State Audit Institution on the fiscal year ended 31/12/2010, of both Emirates Investment Authority and UAE Office for the Coordination of Foreign Aid, and other issues as well.
