DUBAI: The Ministry of Public Works of the UAE, or MoPW, won the first place in the Ministries Websites category of the eGovernment Web Awards contest which was organized by Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO), a leading non-profit organization affiliated with the League of Arab States, and the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy.
The Ministry of Public Works was represented to the award-giving ceremony was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, by Hessa Obaid Al Suwaidi, chairperson of the Ministry’s eServices and head of eProject.
MoPW’s eProject team members expressed thanks for Minister of Public Works, Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, for his incessant support and follow up on work on the ministry’s portal.
The eGovernment Web Awards seek to promote eGovernment in the Arab World, recognise best websites which comply with eGovernment international standards; recognise the efforts of the Arab governments in improving the quality of services to their citizens through eGovernment and enhance joint Arab action towards creating a transparent and secure digital environment.
