Abu Dhabi, May 15th, 2011 (WAM)–Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Public Works, Chairman of National Media Council (NMC), received here today President of Bahrain’s Information Affairs Authority (IAA) Sheikh Fawaz bin Mohammad Al-Khalifa.
The two sides discussed the media relations and ways to boost the cooperation and coordination between the NMC and IAA in line with keenness of the leadership in both countries to further boost cooperation.
Sheikh Fawaz expressed the gratitude of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people to the UAE’s stance during the recent regretful events witnessed by Bahrain.
He described in a statement after the meeting the welcome of Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi to the speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Eisa Al Khalifa of Bahrain as “a positive step towards enhancing the Bahraini-GCC relations with the Muslim neighbour”.
