The Ministerial Council for Services discussed in its periodic session held here today at the Presidential Palace a memo proposed by the Ministry of Public Works on updating the Comprehensive National Plan on construction and development of the federal buildings and remote areas in the northern emirates till 2030. The plan will be outlined in accordance with the social, environment, economic changes, taking into account the requirements of areas and agencies as well. It ensures successful implementation, exemplary investment of resources, upgrade of quality of welfare for citizens, especially in the remote areas. The meeting was chaired by H. H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The Council agreed during the meeting on the streamlining the business services related to matching and the UAE Quality Mark of the Emirates Authority for Standardisation and Metrology. The new regulation comes within the framework of raising the level of services provided to customers to facilitate access to them. It was also briefed on the report prepared by the Ministry of Finance on implementation of the General Federal Budget of the Federal Government during the first quarter of 2012. It instructed the ministry to set necessary plans to ensure better implementation of the endorsed budget. The Council was briefed on the unified financial report of the UAE for 2011, which includes the required financial statements in accordance with the specifications of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The Council also discussed the annual reports of the State Audit Institution on the final financial reports ended 31/12/2011 of the Federal Customs Authority and the Institute of Training and Judicial Studies. It called on the competent authorities to correct remarks mentioned in the reports and observe the regulations. It also discussed a number of issues and took appropriate decisions to tackle them.
