His Excellency Sheikh “Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received His Excellency “Mohammed Amin Abdullah Al Kareb”, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the UAE, on Tuesday, December 8th, 2015, in his office at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Abu Dhabi,.
During the meeting, the Minister reiterated the activation of joint cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education and scientific research, supporting ways and mechanisms to enhance cooperation, and building a partnership aimed at developing the higher education system and strengthening the national research capacity between the two countries. They also discussed the opportunities and areas of exchange of academic and research expertise, and encouraging researchers and students at institutions of higher education to participate in events held in both countries in all fields that support the sectors which meet the requirements of sustainable development, especially after the adoption of the new Development Goals 2015-2030, which the UAE took the lead in the application of most of its requirements prior to its endorsement by the International Community, where the higher education, training and alumni qualification sector is the UAE leadership and Ministry’s top priority as a basic rule necessary to achieve UAE Vision 2021.
