His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the UAE University, stressed that the UAE Commemoration Day is a national event that proves to the whole world the meanings of loyalty, and perpetuates the glory of its martyrs, as our wise leadership always takes the initiative in the humanitarian initiatives, to say to their children and to the world that we are the people of generosity, sacrifice, and right anywhere, and the UAE has recalled its righteous martyrs and their sacrifices with gratitude and loyalty to perpetuate their memory, as they are beacons that light up the pages of history, and are torches that light the way of the future.
His Excellency said that declaring November 30th the Commemoration Day consolidates the values of loyalty for the good people, strengthens the national cohesion, emphasizes the concept of loyalty among the sons of the country, and sends a message that the State appreciates the sacrifices, and that the nation’s memory will continue to celebrate the sacrifices made by the loyal youth.
The Minister added that on this day dear to our hearts, we stand in tribute to remember our martyrs and pray for them, and our only consolation is that they are- as God Almighty promised them –in the gardens of eternity and paradise with the prophets.
His Excellency pointed out that, on this national occasion dear to our hearts, we pay tribute to their pure souls, and they will remain forever in the hearts and minds of the UAE people, as the martyrs are beacons that light up the way of the future, and are torches that light the paths of glory, and the UAE will remain proud, lifting the banner of glory.
The Minister concluded by saying: “God have mercy upon every martyr who defended his homeland and sacrificed his soul for the country and its leadership, and the UAE flag will remain high above the land of this dear and generous country, which deserves to have our souls sacrificed, in order to remain glorious and a symbol of loyalty and belonging.
