Hamdan Bin Mubarak: with the support of the leadership and the openness of the State, Higher Education tops the international index

 

His Excellency Sheikh”Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed following the announcement that the Ministry ranked in first place globally in “tertiary inbound mobility of students in higher education institutions index”, in the Global Innovation Index Report 2015, published by “INSEAD” business school, that the Ministry that the Ministry did not reach this achievement without the support of the higher education sector in the State is receiving from the wise leadership, headed by his Highness Sheikh “Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan”, President of the State, his Highness Sheikh “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum”, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and his Highness “Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan”, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said: The constants of life, the openness and peace offered by the UAE State to the residents on its territory contribute to attracting students from all over the world to study at higher education institutions in the UAE enjoys the highest international standards, and has international accreditation either at the institutions level and at the offered programs level, related to the needed disciplines, not only in the local or regional market, but those planned at the international level in the future labor market, such as renewable energy, environment, sustainability, engineering and medicine sciences, and innovation and entrepreneurship.

His Excellency added that this achievement is the culmination of several successive achievements and hard work of all working teams that ensure and insist on achieving leadership in the higher education sector, the State ranks first globally in students mobility into the State index in the Global Innovation Report 2014, and according to the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2014 the State was also ranked in 14th place in the quality and level of business colleges index, and ranked in12th place in quality indicator of the level of higher education, ranked 34 in the proportion of students on scholarship abroad, ranked 41 in the achievements of higher education index, ranked 52 in STEM certificates index.
