Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan receives Egyptian Ambassador

His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, stressed while receiving at his Office in Abu Dhabi, his Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt in the State Wael Jad, the solidity of brotherly relations linking the two countries that is continuously evolving thanks to the guidance and patronage of his Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan President of the State and his brother His Excelency Abdulfattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which led to close collaboration in several areas, especially in the fields of higher education and scientific research, his Excellency showed the Ministry’s readiness for continuous cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
During the meeting, which was attended by his Excellency Dr. Amjad Abdelhady Egyptian Cultural Attaché, and her Excellency Shireen Shaheen first Secretary at the Embassy, they discussed arrangements for the signing of a cooperation agreement in the field of higher education and scientific research between the UAE and Egypt, in addition to discussing ways of cooperation between the UAE University and higher education institutions and universities in the State and Egyptian universities , and to support the efforts of Egyptian universities seeking to develop their old libraries and convert them to digital libraries.
The visit was an opportunity to discuss the situation of 400 Emirati students studying in Egypt at the expense of different scholarship authorities or at their own expense, and 218 Egyptian students studying in UAE University at the State’s expense along with others studying at their own expense in private higher education and scientific research institutions in the State.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen to enhance existing cooperation relations with all countries through the Cultural Attachés and embassies abroad, to achieve the common interests, and serves Emirati students on scholarships abroad or studying at their own expense in Arab, regional and international universities.
