His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received his Excellency Kanji Fujiki, Ambassador of Japan to the UAE, his Excellency the Minister confirmed the increase in the of students on scholarships to Japan, and the Ministry’s desire to increase these numbers, in addition to cooperation in the field of scientific research and to benefit from the Japanese experience in this aspect.
The Japanese Ambassador stressed the wish of the Japanese government to increase more than cooperation, pointing out that are 800 Japanese universities, that attract students from different parts of the world, some of which adopt English language as the medium of instruction, the Ambassador invited several UAE students with their families to visit Japan and learn about the country with a cultural dimension.
It is noteworthy that the number of Emirati students on scholarships to Japan is 68 students, studying in the various fields, notably engineering and technology.
