Under the patronage of his Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of UAE University, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized in UAE University the first national Forum (UAE home of loyalty, triumph and achievement) (Yemen as a model) on Monday 26th of November 2015 at the Crescent building on campus.
The Forum was attended by Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Vice Chancellor of the University, Mr. Saeed Al Rumaithi, Member of the National Council, Mr. Mohammed Al Hameli, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum, and a number of national service recruits and students.
The Forum reflects the role of UAE University, the mother national University and other educational institutions, from a leading role to promote the values of loyalty and belonging to the nation, and seeking to transfer the correct information and highlight the role of our wise leadership in protecting the homeland and its earnings.
Dr. Sultan Al Nuaimi, faculty member at Abu Dhabi University and expert on Iranian Affairs, stressed during his participation in the Forum, the concept of national security in the UAE, how to strengthen it, its connection with neighboring States and regional and international security, and the honorable role of UAE through participation in a “operation decisive storm” and restore hope, and its leading role in participation in the protection of the security of the region of any external aggression, and addressing the issue of Yemen as a model, noting that Yemen’s security is an integral part of Arab and international security.
For his part, Sheikh Waseem Yousef Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Khateeb, thanked the brave Emirates soldiers to protect the UAE blood, saying: “be what you want and have loyalty to the homeland”, in reference to the multiplicity of sects that does not preclude loyalty to the homeland and protecting it, stressing the great blessing that the UAE enjoys which is security, he ended by addressing the national service recruits: “Dear soldiers you are the strong dam for this homeland, have more determination in your hearts.”
