His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has emphasized the keenness of the Ministry in participating, within the Federal Platform, in (GITEX Technology Week 2015),to achieve its vision, and strategic goals and plans, explaining the importance of using information technology effectively in providing distinct electronic smart services to its customers, both citizens or residents, and to promote a culture of research and innovation in creative ways to raise the level of knowledge and science.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan referred to the role played by GITEX Exhibition which will be held in the period from (18 -22) October (2015), at Dubai World Trade Centre, to introduce everyone to the latest technological developments in all countries of the world, and to highlight the latest developments in all UAE institutions in this area, hoping that the Ministry’s participation will be distinguished, especially that its previous participation was positive in all senses, and the Ministry’s platform witnessed high turnout, in addition to the positive reactions to the electronic and smart services offered by the Ministry.
His Excellency said that the Ministry’s participation is a unique opportunity for visitors to get to know the services it provides, and see the public views on the services provided to them, and their comments and suggestions to develop such services. Since the Ministry will display its smart applicable services provided for its customers, whether through its website or at its Customer Service Centers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The Ministry will also showcase projects for future applications as an effort to improve and develop its services and simplify its procedures, so as to achieve its strategic objective in the provision of high quality, efficient, and transparent services, in response to the Smart Government Initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, in order to provide high-level solutions and services that meet the needs of customers around the clock.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has achieved 100% in the smart and electronic transformation of priority services provided to the individuals and business sector index.
