His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, congratulated the Emirati woman; the mother, sister, daughter, wife, colleague, and student on the Emirati Women’s Day, pointing out that devoting this day to celebrate the Emirati woman is a reflection of her achievements in all fields, and encouragement to her to move forward without any hindrance to her ambition and willingness to participate and contribute in building her country, especially with the support of the wise leadership to her, which has boosted her role in the overall development in our State, as a direct reflection of the care of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and actual embodiment of the visions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the fruit of great efforts of their brothers, the Rulers of the Emirates. In this regard, everyone knows and appreciates the level of attention given to Emirati women by the “Mother of the UAE”; Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, who supervised and followed up on all the achievements of UAE women.
His Excellency noted the importance of pursuing higher education by women, pointing out that the UAE has achieved advanced indicators according to the UN Organization in the issue of gender equality, basic education and empowerment of women, and their participation in the political and economic life in the country, and the talk now revolves around encouraging women to be creative and innovative, obtain graduate certificates, and enter new fields required by the UAE labor market in the future.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan also stressed that the UAE woman has been receiving unlimited support from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, whether she is a student in higher education institutions in the State, or a scholarship student at the institutions of higher education abroad, and she is going to have all the care and attention in a safe, stable, and sophisticated learning environment that helps her unleash her potential, hone her talents and capabilities, and utilize her creativity in innovations that contribute to building a sustainable knowledge-based UAE economy by 2021.
