Ursula Burns: Education in the UAE is witnessing qualitative leap
The Majlis of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, hosted a lecture titled, “How we build a culture of containment, leadership and equality”, by the CEO and Chairwoman of the Xerox Corporation, Ursula Burns.
The lecture was attended by His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, senior officials, and members of the diplomatic corps in the UAE.
Burns said that her current visit to the UAE comes after her recent visit to the State in 2009, and she noticed a lot of positive changes and developments in many areas, stressing that the UAE is an economic and commercial hub and an important market in the Middle East.
She added that education in the UAE is witnessing qualitative and distinct leap, where Emirati women benefited from the multiple educational opportunities provided by the State.
