By directives of Hamdan bin Mubarak, Scientific research and supporting labor market are the priorities of Higher Education in 2014-2016

Increasing the capacity of  research, development and innovation is the highlight of the strategic plan of the “Ministry of Higher Education And Scientific Research” issued by the Ministry under the guidance of his Excellency  Sheikh “Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education And Scientific Research, for the period (2014-2016), the plan included all administrative services in accordance with standards of quality, efficiency and transparency, and raising the effectiveness of higher education in the UAE, fostering opportunities for citizens to attend the best universities abroad in accordance with the needs of the labor market, and to strengthen the capacity of scientific research, development and innovation in accordance with global competitive level standards.

This comes to achieve the Ministry’s vision in higher education leadership and global competitiveness in scientific research for the UAE, in line with the ministry’s mission to contribute to the achievement of the knowledge society and the development of higher education and scientific research in the State, through management of the scholarship of citizens efficiently to serve the requirements of the development of society, and the organization of work of the institutions of higher education and ensure the quality of its output.

The Ministry has identified in its plan the values that are used in its dealings like impartiality, equality, respect and fairness in dealing with both internal and external customers, in addition to the transparency and credibility, this comes through the provision of accurate information about the systems and procedures for the provision of services, and allowing anyone to look at the general policies of the Ministry.

The Ministry stressed its commitment to act as a responsible institution in the community, participating in various community activities, development and continuous improvement through the implementation of a culture of innovation and excellence in the work environment, and it added commitment and loyalty to the institution by applying the internal and external regulations and laws, teamwork and collaboration to develop and improve work systems.
