His Excellency Sheikh” Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan”, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Chancellor of “UAE University”, praised the role of his Highness Sheikh “Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan”, the President of UAE, in caring for and protecting the human rights, and the ongoing directives of his Highness about paying attention to preserve the human rights and enhance civilizational communication and dialogue.
His Excellency stressed that the sons and daughters of “UAE” derive their humane approach from the right vision of his Highness the “President of UAE”, which urges the necessity of protecting and caring for the human rights regardless of ethnicities, religions, or colors, along with the big effort of his Highness Sheikh “Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum”, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to deliver the State’s message to the whole world, which is to reach out to the poor and doomed people, and thus, our precious State has become a role model in helping and caring for the human rights. He also praised the constant efforts of his Highness General “Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan”, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in urging the sons of Emirates to be international role models and ambassadors for the State in order to reflect the pure image of “UAE” in the rest of the world.
That was during the reception of his Highness Sheikh “Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan” for the students participating in the training program in “Geneva Center for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue”, from the colleges of law and political sciences in “UAE University”. The reception took place at his Excellency’s office, where he praised the training program which was organized by the institute, and he also praised the students’ choice to represent the State in this important global and humane field.
His Excellency Sheikh “Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan” stressed, during his meeting with the students, that the wise leadership in “UAE” is working on seizing all possible opportunities to activate and implement the human rights in a civilized manner, which resulted in placing the “UAE” on top of the civilized countries of the world, and earning it a good reputation in this important humane field. He clarified that “UAE University” is extremely keen to provide such opportunities for its students to enable them to affect and get affected by everything that is new, modern, and civilized, and to help transfer the white image of their country to the world’s nations since they are the most capable and worthwhile ones to do so.
His Excellency called the student to make the best of these international trips and participations to develop their skills, knowledge, and self-capacities, approach the dignitaries in this field, and get acquainted with the modern international programs related to human rights and freedoms, as well as the modern methods of global communication and dialogue.
“Geneva Center for Human Rights Advancement and Global Dialogue”, in cooperation with “Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights”, “Human Rights Council”, “Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights”, “University of Geneva”, and “Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies”, received (14) male and female students from “UAE University” for a training course entitled “Human rights mechanisms: Contemporary Challenges and Opportunities” from (7-14) February. The training course included lecturers delivered by the senior officials of the United Nations including heads of departments in the “Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights”.
The students thanked and appreciated his Excellency Sheikh “Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan” for receiving them and for his direct interest in their affairs before, during and after the completion of the training course. They also expressed their pride in belonging to “UAE”, especially after they completed the training course in the field of human rights, and their knowledge about the wise leadership’s interest in this field and the violations against the rest of the nations. Therefore, they felt that that the “UAE” has gone to great lengths in this humane field while it embraces about (200) nationalities from different countries, religions, and ethnicities, who live safely and peacefully, and contribute to the sustainable development process in the “UAE”.
